End of Spotty
My dear fishie Spotty past away early this morning. It died from conspitation.
Spotty had been a great company since last Auguest. It was among one of the first betta I kept. It provided hours of entertainment for me during the last year.
I wanted to post of some pictures of him, yet posting a picture of a dead seems disrespectful.
Today is a dark day. Spotty will be greatly missed. =(
Here are few pictures of him when he was alive.

Why this little fish die?; i consider buy one for myself but i'm afraid to kill him. any recomendations?
sorry, by the way.
Spotty died because of constipation, which is very common in bettas. Most of the cases, constipation is due to over-feeding. Let it alone unfeed for a few days should make the problem go away. If you are really worried, you can feed it a few tiny bites of cooked pea. It is supposed to help it poop.
For Spotty, I have to say that I was too confident in myself to believe that it was due to over-feeding, and therefore overlooked another possibility: bacterial infection.
For bacterial infection, there are anti-bacterial medication that you can purchase from any local petstore. And there are a lot of good websites out there that teach you how to take care of bettas. Betta Talk is a great resource http://www.bettatalk.com/.
=) In general, bettas are very strong little souls. They are easy to take care of and provides hours of entertainments. *^__^* And just a little hint, the more you get freaked out (like me), the easier and faster they die!! Sometimes it helps to leave them alone a bit. ;p Another hint is, when you choose a betta, pick one that's active and has no damages on its body, tail, or fins. Don't allow them to soften your heart and end up with one that's sick. It takes a lot of patience and care for a sick betta. And for a starter, it's really heart-broken to see your first betta die in your hands!!
Hope you will like them as much as I do. =) You are very welcome to share your experience with me if you ever got one. Good luck!
